Lee 'Joner' Jones
I earned my UEFA C licence at 16 as a youth player at Wrexham AFC. By 19 I held my UEFA B and was appointed Academy Director at Rhyl FC Academy. I took my U14s to an international tournament in France, lifted the trophy, and walked away with the best coach award.
A qualified teacher, I ran a community football project for unemployed adults and ex-offenders in Wales, then coached at Llandudno FC as a player/coach. After trialling for A-League clubs including Central Coast Mariners, I packed my boots and moved to Sydney. Joner Football started with one player, one ball, and a borrowed patch of grass.
In 2017, Joner Football was voted one of the Top 10 Technical Trainers in the World.
Since then I've coached A-League, W-League, and elite international players. Built a social following north of 2.5 million footballers. Launched the Joner Football App with 50,000+ downloads and 1,500+ training drills. Run camps across 15+ countries. Watched players I've coached go on to professional and international careers.

Today, Joner Football operates out of JFP HQ in Belrose, Sydney. A state-of-the-art indoor facility purpose-built for technical development. The coaching philosophy has never changed: master the ball, and the game opens up. Every drill, every session, every camp is built around technical excellence, high intensity, and real player development.
Technique First
Master the ball before anything else.
High Intensity
Train like the game. No standing around.
Real Development
Long-term player growth, not quick fixes.
